Woah. Where to start? First, Mr. Taylor DOESN'T die (last night) and amazingly starts recovering from the poison just in
time to stop Brian from murdering him. Samantha is not so lucky, but I didn't really like her, so...But things are not well.
Mr. Taylor still hasn't completely recovered, he has seen Samantha die a very awful death, he knows there is a conspiracy,
he has just fallen a very long way down from a balcony, and he has just killed someone. True, it was in self defense, and
he couldn't quite stop because when Brian had recovered he would have killed Taylor and then ran to his cronies (positive
he was working for Hodges). And Taylor isn't the kind of person who would kill someone, so even despite the circumstances,
this is an issue. And that fall could not have been good. And I hope he doesn't die. I hope someone finds him. Mrs. Taylor,
meanwhile, is stuck. Dubaku has just killed more people (it was interesting how they didn't actually show the planes hitting;
I thought that was considerate post 9/11) and will kill more. She knows there is no easy choice to make and that some people
will hate her no matter what she chooses to do (keep helping Sangala or leave?), and there is no way to make everyone happy,
so she chose the choice she thought was best. She knows the outcomes, the possibilities, the casualties, and what each decision
means, which is evident by the look on her face after her meeting with the Cabinet. She just can't win. It's not my place
to say which choice I think is best. It's too hard to say what I would do in her place. Ethan and Joe (?) aren't happy with
her decision and this constitutes a problem. I wonder if they will remove/impeach her a'la Palmer 1 in season 2. Meanwhile,
Renee is rescued by Bill and Chloe (Bill drives that blue terrorist van like a sports car--lol, Bill rocks)and they find Jack.
Renee is starting to annoy. But better to have her around than Audrey; ugh. With some pleading Mutobu and his wife agree
to Jack/Tony/Bill/Chloe's plan and the board is set. I admit that Mutobu is not evil. I kind of like him now. There is
a sweet interlude between him and his wife and their thoughts on the plan. It was kind of cheesy, but sweet. Awww. I like
his wife. She's really pretty. We learn more about how Tony was 'killed'. And--shocker!--it was CHRISTOPHER HENDERSON--!!!--who
was helping Emerson get to Tony all along! So Emerson might have been involved with the oil/nerve gas/Palmer death plot and
might have been in league with Logan!!! I wonder if that was what Henderson meant when he warned Jack not to prod too deep
into the conspiracy and that it went deeper than he knew and Pandora's box. Of course, Jack's brother and dad were also involved,
but I wonder if this was also a part of it. Dude. Sadly, Emerson was onto Jack and Tony from the start (I wonder how much
he suspected and why he let them get away with so much) and Tony has to shoot him in order to protect Jack and the plan, and
this ultimately leads to Emerson's death. I don't think Tony totally agreed with Emerson's plot to help a coup in Africa,
at least not at the end. But he really cared for Emerson like a brother, and now he's dead because of him. I don't know
if Tony will turn evil again or not; maybe he'll sacrifice himself or something. But this death is something he's going to
have to live with. Tony, don't turn evil, please.
