Jack must pull off the terrorist act very well, because Emerson, like Salazar, totally (at least as far as we can tell) believes
that Jack wants to be a part of his crew. I wonder what makes him so convincing (oh, but the writers of the show, of course!
Because otherwise the show couldn't move along as it does if Jack is not convincing. :) But I love it.). We learn that Sean
Hillinger is doing illegal things because his wife is on a plane and the terrorists have threatened to attack more planes
if Taylor doesn't cooperate, and so obviously he's freaking out. But I don't think that warrents pretending to be Moss and
calling the FAA with Moss' security code to get special clearance for that plane to land immediately. Oh dear. Bad idea.
Hillinger looks eerily like Jake Gyllenhaal; does anyone else think so? We also learn that Emerson and his thugs are after
Mutobu, the Sangalan whom President Taylor wants as Djuma's successor. This is bad news. So maybe he's not evil? He still
kind of creeps me out. Obviously, Djuma wants him removed so he can take over the country with no one opposing him. Jack
and Tony have to go along to help with the kidnapping because they have to be convincing, and this is almost a surefire way
to get to Djuma. Almost. Something could happen and they could not get to him and then they would have helped kidnap a good
guy for no reason. I'm still not sure who the leak in the White House or FBI is yet; could be Moss (or Stillinger) and could
be Ethan. I'm sure it's not Janis (I really like her! She's kind of mousy and not as cool as Chloe but I can't get over
how brilliant the acting is! I love the part when she puts the heart monitors on Tony--that was the previous hour, but still.
'I'm going to need to, um, lift up your shirt'. Priceless.). I have suspicions that Walker has a crush on Jack. She's turning
out to be like him, and at first I don't think she wants to. She interrogates the sniper from last night the same way Jack
would have, though the look on her face is one of pity and disbelief that she's actually doing this, and yet determination.
I wonder if she really does like Jack. I kind of hope they don't put in a love story here; it might weaken the plot. I
wonder what happened to Audrey? I know, I can't stand her, but I'm curious. Oh, and Morris too, because Chloe had a kid
in between seasons. Next weeks preview shows Jack and Tony and Emerson trying to break in to kidnap Mutobu, and it appears
that he's not evil. But I still have doubts.
